PROJECT:  Monterey Jazz Festival

DESCRIPTION: Set Designer (1993-present)  

RESPONSIBILITIES: Creating an all inclusive, visual atmosphere for the Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey California. Includes: the design and installation for the main stage, six grounds stages, the entrance sculpture and liaise with numerous crews involved in this massive production. 

 

Suzka is the stage set designer for the Monterey Jazz Festival. She has a growing portfolio with over 100 stage creations. Her sense of design is powerfully architectural with an aesthetic mix of play and color. Suzka’s stage creations have been consistently delighting Monterey’s jazz audiences for decades. 2017 will mark her 25th year with the Monterey Jazz Festival family.
